I finally found it /ck/. The Quesarrito™.

Has anyone else had one? The journey was better than the destination but my buds and I enjoyed it. Four of us split two and still got pretty full. Better than a regular Chipotle burrito but not something I would order regularly. Luckily the guy at the counter didn't give a fuck and rang it up as a burrito so they were only $7 each.

Also general South American food thread since I've grown tired of all my recipes.

>> No.4353321

Did the quesadilla part make it too rich to hammer down the whole burrito or can you not usually eat a whole one?

>> No.4353339

>>4353321
I can get a whole one down if I've had a light breakfast and nothing else. I don't think I could have eaten one alone it was easily three pounds. The quesadilla didn't add a whole lot of extra flavor since I usually get cheese on it anyway but the crispy tortilla instead of a cold plain one was the best part. I'm going to at least do that next time I make burritos at home. Too bad I suck at rolling.

I've seen too many Chipotle threads to ignore it. Just my opinion here. I don't think that these threads are started "officially" as part of a marketing strategy. But you guys know there are an awful lot of Chipotle threads where "everyone" has nothing but good things to say.

Here's what I think. There is a regular on /ck/ who makes all of these threads and samefags them to hell. Maybe they are a manager at a Chipotle, maybe they are an employee who is treated well and likes the place. Maybe its just an semi-autist who likes Chipotle too much. This board in particular is slow as fuck, if they people paying him/her knew then they'd probably be pissed. I can totally see them paying one or two people to go around on social websites and market though.

Hey Chipotle-fucker if you are really there, you are wasting your time here. Your food is overpriced horseshit, I can name over five places in a one square mile radius where I could get a better burrito for cheaper. And nobody is buying your organic health shit. People that really care about eating healthy don't give a fuck about your glorified overpriced mediocrity. And people that want fast and good tasting food probably don't care about it being organic.

Take your overpriced, over-hyped and underwhelming bullshit and go to trendier messageboards. You are a ripoff, a scam, a fad. Your food is admittedly better than fast food but you charge premium price for a below average burrito.

I don't care about the cleanup part, but look at all the shit you have to make the first go round:
-rice
-salsa (you could buy some, so there is that)
-beans
-meat of choice
-shredded lettuce
-what ever else you want...

So now that you've spent 45 minutes or so making everything, you get to make your burrito. But on the flip side if you make enough you can whip it out of the fridge and have burritos for the next couple of nights in 5 minutes or so.

>But it's still easier to stop in and pickup a burrito out and bring it home and eat.

Perhaps because out of the three big chains I have around me, Chipotle is the best?

Don't get me wrong, I like some Moe's mostly cause they have queso...and Qdoba has gone to poop over the years.

Hell I love me some Firehouse as well, it doesn't mean I'm a shill for them.

>> No.4371311

>>4360778

Actually where I live it's because of the chains that Mexican places now serve more tex-mex style stuff. Before Moe's and the rest of them showed up a burrito was just filled with meat and onions/peppers with some sauce poured over it. Now you can actually get something similar to what a chain serves in a sit down place.

So no, it wasn't a matter of looking for me - cause it never existed here. It's like saying you can get authentic Asian just because there is a Chinese take out place down the street.

See that fucking filling, that's my number 2 bitch with Chipotle. Take a bite and all I get is some fucking rice, and another bite, some fucking chicken, and then some beans. Motherfuckers could take a page out of Stone Cold's playbook and stir that shit up. It'd be nice to have a little of everything in every bite.
