Looks more like BBQ sauce than catsup.

tasty, but kind of retarded to put the sauced top sideways

Agreed, ketchup is for hotdogs mostly.

Yeah, that's not ketchup; ketchup is red because of all the tomatoes.

Something that happens at high temperatures (i.e. something that will never happen when making ketchup).

Looks fucking great!

OK, let me spell it out for you:

It caramelizes in the oven.

Have you ever made meatloaf before?

Dumb people are annoying, but angry dumb people are hilarious.

Some people like that sort of thing. Personally? If I want a salad, I'll have a salad. If I want a hotdog, I want something slightly sweet, tangy, and tomatoy on it. Ketchup.

I take it you haven't then. Well, you should, because it's delicious.

He's probably just from Chicago. When your local food culture says ketchup on hot dogs equals death because then you don't taste the delicious tubed floor sweepings, you know the person you're dealing with has shit taste buds. Never trust a man who actually wants to preserve the pure taste of hot dog.

There are really good hot dogs out there worth tasting, but your average tube of mystery meat from the local grocery store or a fast food joint... Just use ketchup. I can understand wanting to preserve the sanctity of a homemade dog made from high-quality ingredients.

Ketchup is designed to complement the flavor of decent hotdogs.
Mustard and other condiments just overpower the flavor.
