I was listening to the albums those two songs are on. They're my favourite band.

Would Kira Puru count as jazz, by the way? Blues? Blues rock? What? I love The Bruise, but not sure how to categorise their music.

I do actually listen to Lil B most of the time while cooking. I enjoy his music.
Other than that, Municipal Waste, Wolvhammer, Wugazi, Nina Simone. It kind of depends on what I'm cooking and if I have been drinking.

I use spotify, and my cooking list is really crazy fucking eclectic. Lot of classic rock, some light metal, some pop, some punk, some R&B, some soul, some rap, a couple of oldies and a few classical and folk instrumentals. It's also my house cleaning list, and I like epic variety for my background music.

I also cook to a pandora station once in a blue moon. I seeded it with Cold Specks, Dave Matthews Band, The Beatles and Ani DiFranco. It comes out pretty folky and a touch gloomy.

Depends on general mood and type of cooking. If I just calmly make some sauce, I'll have some jazz, mostly Monk and Davis. If there's lots of work involved (when preparing a dinner for four or more for example) I usually blast some electronic music on full volume, progressive trance or tekno mostly. Point at me and judge heh
