"bakmi" or "bami" is Indonesian for "noodle"

Silly Dutch.

Yes, and bamischijf is Dutch for noodledisc. This is pretty logical stuff here.

A noodle disc is a snack consisting of noodles with swipe fluid and a breading around it. The disc is mainly Netherlands and Belgium known. A similar disk with noodles snack is the nasi disk , which instead of noodles fried rice as the main ingredient used.

Have you played the vidya "Magicka"? It's Dutch and when I first heard the npc voice audio I thought it was a silly made-up language and was constantly giggling.

Months later I learned it was a real language and felt so embarrassed lmfao

Apparently they freeze noodles in disc forms, bread and fry them.

They claim to make a loaf of them, and cut it into discs. But that's total bullshit.

>> No.4275691

>>4274183
Well you could take a prepared/cooked noodle and sauce mix, freeze it in a mold of that shape, then prep it for deep frying with the breading and it would reheat while frying, retaining the same shape.

I use frozen cheese for mozzarella sticks, so that doesn't seem strange to me as a method.

Wikipedia says they're loafed-up noodles and rice made into a loaf and sliced. They don't mention freezing the stuffing beforehand. I know they come already frozen, I was actually thinking that people would notice the frozen taste and texture, but then I figured that this was a purely industrial meal, like ramen or something, except that unlike ramen people didn't make these at home from scratch.

I thought ramen threads were low, but this is a step below. That stuff is the new ramen, but I might attempt to make it someday.
