I have seven oranges that are going to rot soon. What can I make with them?

I already used the peels with white vinegar and water to make a multi-purpose cleaner.

Depends on what sort of thing you want to make and how much time and effort you want to put into it. You could make orange sorbet.

Surprisingly, I don't like orange juice.

I'm looking for anything really. I wouldn't mind learning how to make an orange sorbet.

While waiting for replies, I started to make some orange doughnuts. I just got a recipe for regular doughnuts and added an orange to it. They're cooking right now so I will post with the results.

As far as sorbet goes, I believe all you need is the fruit of your choice, sugar and water. You can add other things to it, but if you want to be really basic, that's all you need. You could also make orange pancakes, cupcakes, cookies or pretty much anything that is considered a baked good.

Marmalade, creamsicle pops (if you don't have a popsicle mold you can drop a touch of vanilla ice cream and oj in an icecube mold with tooth picks), fruit compote to go on crepes or pancakes

Well here they are. I used a doughnut maker (probably what you didn't want to hear) and they came out okay. I can get a hint of orange, but I'll have to let them cool before I can give my final verdict.

I made 18 doughnuts and still had a lot of batter left so I put it in a small bread pan and currently baking it.

The sorbet sounds easy enough. I'll google an actual recipe to get all the bases covered.

based on looks, homemade/10 they look legit and good.
If someone were to put experiment, would a lemon glaze work?

Who cares if you used a doughnut maker? You used up your oranges and made something that looks awesome. 10/10.

Well thanks! I didn't expect to receive such approving responses. After letting them cool, I can taste the orange more.

Here's the small cake I made with the excess dough. I didn't have a recipe, so I kind of just guessed on the time. It feels a little spongy but smells great!

>>4227191
Lemon or orange glaze would be good. Now that you mention it, maybe an orange glaze on some cinnamon buns. I remember my dad making those Pillsbury cinnamon buns with the orange frosting every Saturday morning as a kid. They were great.

Ice cream.
Is it spongy enough to enjoy with ice cream?

It sure is. I wish I had some in the freezer though.

I had a small slice to taste, but I think I've had my sugar for the night. I will toast a slice tomorrow!
