What's everyone's favourite kind of tea?

>> No.4199066

My favorite tea is the Turkish tea.

You're supposed to capitalize the second 'tea'.

Because it's only tea if it's the actual tea plant. Mint "tea" is not tea.

this dude: >>4199094 is correct. anything not made with leaves from the tea plant is a tisane.

Wow, you are all terrible. I am very dissapointed in the apparent lack of knowledge regarding tea... That being said, my favorites are definitely Jun Shan Yin Zhen, Dong Ding Oolong, and Gyokuro Suimei

Depending on the definition of tisane, tea might be a tisane as well. Coffee, too, maybe.

Good things to put in tea besides milk?

>> No.4199185

You should not be putting anything in your tea. Especially if the tea you are drinking is actual of a decent quality.

Sweet tea, made with Lipton. It's what my grandma made and I consider it a form of comfort food.

I respectfully disagree. In black tea, depending on the blend, it is acceptable to put in both sugar and milk. In other blends, such as Earl grey, Lemon is the way to go.

Personally, I put milk in my tea, but that's because my tongue's a sissy and doesn't like that burning sensation. I cool it down with milk and drink the fuck out of that shit.

This shit is delicious with some milk and a tiny bit of honey.

tea pleb here
looking for some recommendations
fan of black teas Earl Grey is fine
also there is a teavana in my mall should I check it out is it a good store?

>> No.4199290

>>4199280
Teavana is supposed to be good tea. I'm not always a fan, some of their teas taste too much like not-tea. Mos of their black teas are alright though.

Darjeeling is nice, very delicate in comparison to the smack in the face of English Breakfast. Twining's is pretty reliable tea, at least for trying out teas you've never had before (lady grey, irish breakfast, oolong). After you find some stuff you like, get yourself some loose leaf tea and enjoy like a sir.

no problem old bean. others will disagree. I have one friend who won't drink a damn thing but PG Tipps, which is super strong, sort of one-dimensional tea. It was really popular among coal workers, etc. Mostly due to its virtue of being inexpensive.
