This is actually an issue of feminism. Pink is seen as feminine and femininity is seen as inferior to masculinity. That is why parents do not buy their sons pink clothes or toys.
Feminism is about equality for all genders and fighting feminism is basically fighting against male freedom as well.

Men should be allowed to like sewing or painting and not have their sexuality questioned because liking those things doesn't have any baring on sexuality.

So when you promote feminism, you are promoting the freedom of men in society as well.

Racism can't exist anywhere under that logic. Even minorities under dictatorships have power. Often it isn't much on a relative basis, but it exists. Racism is simply holding the opinion that races exist. usually people do not apply the term until it is intended to mean someone has an overtly racist attitude, affecting their estimations of an individual's or group of people's character or actions.

This thinking has been around far longer than tumblr, probably longer than the internet.
It's not just 'institutionalized' racism, there are plenty of people who honestly feel as though no white person can ever feel the sting of racism because you cannot be racist against a white person. It likely started in minority groups, a sort of born hatred and jealousy of white people, and it grew along side civil rights movements to become a hearty mindset, that is, until people starting actually thinking about it.

Now folks are tossing around 'reverse racism' which is just as dumb as the first statement. There is no 'reverse' racism. Racism is racism, and some are trying to get that message firmly planted so that people will stop being dumb as shit about racial issues.
But, the bitterness, jealousy, and outright hatred of white people, as well as the prevalence of white guilt, keeps the notion alive.

Tumblr, LiveJournal, the internet as a whole gave a wider voice to this kind of thinking. It allows young, impressionable minds to become impregnated with this ill-logic, and they carry it on until someone forces it out of them. With the condition of the American school system, and the ever pressing need to edit our history by censoring any foul language regarding minorities, we're further impressing upon children white guilt and the shame they must feel for even reading the word 'nigger'.
We're teaching them 'that's bad to even think of, so don't do it', punishing them for acts they've never committed, and it's breeding this poor rationality.
