If you have mustard, chilli powder (cayenne), sugar and vinegar, you can make a simple barbeque sauce which is quite nice.

Cup of sugar, tsp and a half of cayenne, tablespoon of mustard (helmans or dijon), cup of water, half cup of (rice wine) vinegar.
Whack it all in a pan, and cook it until it starts to turn treacle-y.

Crush peppercorns (lightly, just so they open)
Cream in pan, add peppercorns and a bit of dijon mustard
Simmer for a while (till your desired thickness)
Sieve sauce

Just a simple thing I do that is quick, nothing amazing

ok op here.
How does this sound, it taste kinda okay..

Hoi sin (plum) duck sauce marinade + peppercorn mix + soy sauce, it is really sweet so I'm thinking of diluting it a bit with water..

In that case marinate it in soy sauce and mix in some sugar, ginger, and chili flakes if you have any. Then quick sear, and finish in oven until med rare.

If you MUST cook it now, season with salt/pepper, pan fry, then baste with butter.

Make sure it's room temp before you cook it.

if its a good steak, salt pepper oil and grill or sear.

If shit. Marinate

Surely a sizable portion of the people on 4chan actually read reddit given how popular that site is in the age demographic...they're just not stupid enough to make it obvious on here.
But meh, 4chan has to maintain its image and shit.
