I need sandwiches that will strike fear in my enemies and inspire awe in my allies.

Anons, will you answer the call?

ITT: OP abandons his thread almost immediately.

Here's a good starter recipe for muffaletta, which is a real word, fuck you spell check. One thing: see how it says it's optional to let the sandwich rest and soak up the tapenade?

That shit is not even remotely optional.

Home cooks? Maybe. Every cook/chef I've ever worked with? They fucking love sandwiches and will argue about them forever.

Re: pictures, it's most likely because most sandwiches are things of convenience, made because you're hungry and you've the stuff to do so. Very few people set out to make a capital-S Sandwich at home.

>> No.4019189

try italian cheese toast.
i think it tastes a lot better than regular cheese toast(or is it called grilled cheese sandwich in english?)

anyway this is what you do:
>cut tomatoes in slices
>cube mozarella(the cubes will cause the mozarella not to stick to get which makes it easier to eat)
>put the mozeralla cubes on a slice of toast
>put the tomatoes on there
>put another slice of toast on there
>then put some olive oil on the outside of each sandwhich slice
>toast it in a toaster grill
>salt it
>eat

>> No.4019190

>>4019175

Also, that looks like a grilled cream cheese and heirloom tomato sandwich.

>> No.4019205

>>4019189

Fuck that lousy sandwich. Here's how I made mine.

Cut two roma tomatoes, or any tomatoes, I don't care, just... cut the damn things in half. Peel a clove of garlic. Toss all that shit with olive oil and kosher salt or sea salt or whatever. Toss it on a baking sheet, and into the oven it goes at 400 for 40 minutes.

When it's almost done, fry an egg up over easy an grab six or so leaves of basil. Slice up some mozzarella while you're at it. Toss the garlic into a food processor, pulse until minced, add the tomatoes and basil, pulse until it's basically a spread.

Brush some olive oil on the outside of the bread you'll be using, then build your sandwich. Make sure the cheese is next to the bread. Toss it in the skillet on med-low. Take your time with this, you want the cheese to melt without burning the bread.

Fucking... fucking toaster oven.

Are you... salting the outside of the sandwich?

>> No.4019219

>>4019214
yes.
that makes a noticably difference.
if you are not careful though the salt will easily end up on the ground.

i like this toast because the outside is crispy and the inside is quite soft and moist because of the tomatoes and mozarella

Toast is what we call bread after it comes out of the toaster. You can then use the toast to make sandwiches. A sandwich made using toast is called either a toasted sandwich or a grilled sandwich, depending on how it was made. Grilled come off of a grill/skillet.

>> No.4019265

we call it "toastbrot" before we toast it.
after that it's still called toast.
a grilled cheese sandwich would a "käsetoast"(which translates to cheesetoast word for word)
