/ck/ I'm pretty new to all this, but I got a little rice cooker and wanted to know what would be decently cheap piece of meat I could just pan sear or something, cut and place on top/pair with the rice.

No need to sear the meat if you are going to braise and shart it like in your photo anyway.

I just took a random cooked meat picture off of google. I'm pretty bad at cooking anything, so I just wanted to know if there was anything simple I could do with a cheap cut of beef (and what a decent cut would be)

I suck at all the in between cuts. I can cook great tender rare steaks or great pot roasts. the other stuff takes more skill.
Maybe get some to explain flank steak?

Tuna is good seared and pairs well with rice, provided you use proper seasonings for the fish.

Flank steak would be good, but yeah, if someone with a decent understanding how to cook it could enlighten me, that would be fantastic
