Besides, do u know how hard it is being in a patrician enclave, surrounded on all sides by inbred hicks?

My contention with you is why do u think hotdog meat is bad? I'll be the first to say I have no idea what truly foes in there, but common, its a staple food for murricans. It honestly, can't be THAT bad (emphasis on the "that")

But is that any better than the dolphin shmegma in pepperoni?

If it tastes good and gets you full, that's what matters.

I grew up eating standard Southern fare.

>fried chicken, pork chops, and catfish
>hushpuppies and fries
>dem hot chicken wangs with ranch dressin'
>meatloaf with a spicy tomato sauce
>baked macaroni and cheese
>collard greens
>boiled spinach
>sweet potatoes
>chicken fried steak with cream cravy
>mashed potatoes and cream gravy
>creamed corn
>fried okra, zucchini, and squash
>red beans and rice with andouille sausage
>gumbo
>regular or jalapeno cornbread (sometimes with a layer of sausage and cheese in the middle)
>yeast rolls the size of your head
>buttermilk biscuits
>steamed carrots
>black eyed peas
>smoked brisket and pork shoulder sandwiches
>bbq beans
>potato salad
>braised pork necks
>chicken and dumplings
>dat velveeta and rotel with corn chips
>sweet tea, root beer, or milk with every meal
>sliced, raw tomatoes and cucumber with salt and pepper

I have no regrets.

I've probably had a dozen hot dogs in my entire life. They're good, but I don't like pizza or most sandwiches save for the occasional pimento cheese (white bread or club crackers only!), po'boy, barbecue sandwich, fried chicken sandwich, burger, etc. Honestly, I dislike most tomato purees including spaghetti with marinara and chicken parmesan. Fried cheese and marinara is absolutely acceptable, though. Fried jalapenos with cream cheese and monterey jack are god tier.

The chicago dog has been the only regional food I've eaten that I absolutely hated. MIdwest fag here, specifically Council Bluffs Iowa and Omaha Nebraska.

To be honest, most of the local legends aren't that special as far as having a distinctly regional taste, but there are two things that are great.

The company called Omaha Steaks is great, especially if you want to kick it at your own home. Some might even suggest that their burgers are actually the hotter item than their steaks. I personally agree.

Best Italian beef is at buona beef, their beef is good quality and their service is much better. Fuck portillos and their dogshit on dogshit food

Best Italian beef goes like this:
Sausage (so technically its a beef sandwich combo, so sue be. It's better none the less)
Gardinara
Mozz

See how that list didn't include getting it dipped? Its because good Italian beef places place an acceptable amount of juice on it with the ladle, no need to go overboard
