Hey there /ck/,
A Trader Joe's opened up near me, and tomorrow will be my first trip to a Trader Joe's. So /ck/ any suggestions of what I should pick up?

>> No.3984911

Valencia Peanut Butter
Milk
Kerrygold (grassfed) butter
Spanish Olive Oil
Aged Raw Milk Cheddar
Parmesan
Half-salted roasted almonds
2 Buck Chuck
Arugula
Lemons and Limes
Trader Joe's Mescal
The bagged prepped veggies are a little pricey, but I tend to eat more vegetables when it's quicker to make.
The raw meats are somewhat disappointing.

>> No.3984917

Juices (go browse them)
The tofu cream cheese substitute
Guacamole
Sausages
A baguette
Cliff bars
banana yogurt big tub
Eggs
Pepper bacon
Mocchi Ice cream bites (totally worth the price)
Fish nuggets
Frozen fruit (for a quick smoothie with the juice)

Gorilla munch cereal.
Ay cheese...any bread.

If you like Pop-Tarts, their Pomegranate ones are good.

They just came out with a Pecan Pie ice cream that is terrific. Ditto on the Lemon Ginger Cookie ice cream.

Get a jug of the unsweetened black iced tea or the mint iced tea.

The jalapeno hot sauce is very good.

Trader Joe's eggs are top-quality.

Pay attention to the dried fruit and trail mix sections. Good stuff in there.

Good deals at the local trader Joe's:

Flour, Milk, Butter, Eggs, Coffee, Tea, Cheap beer, Cheap Wine, Pretty damn good flatbreads, Gelato (when it's in), mochi ice cream things.

>> No.3985126

Their mat kimchi's surprisingly good and cheap - great if you can't find it fresh locally/don't have the time to make it. It ferments fast though, so only get one pack unless you want to make jigae or bokkeumbap out of it (old kimchi's always better for cooking). Also worth getting:
Pad Thai cartons (cheap and quick, and also really tasty)
Mochi ice cream
Cheese (theyvalways have a good selection - decent price too)
Booze
They also have some interesting mints, including really tasty green tea ones.

>> No.3985142

>>3985051
it doesn't look like shit, and it's really tasty.

p.s if you knew better, you'd know by now that hipsters go to whole foods.

I ended up buying some weird prison-brand cola and a Litre of rum for $10 so I was pretty happy anyway.

Didn't realise it was a 2cool4me store before going in though.

OP, if you're still here and over 21, the Simpler Times Lager is great tasting.
It's also cheap because it's the store brand.
But it's seriously my second favorite beer.

Their "Rum of the Gods" is fucking incredible. Half the price of a bottle of Captain Morgan and it tastes way better.

Their Irish Whiskey is good too, for the price.

And their blended Scotch. Cheap as hell, but doesn't completely suck assholes.

Like someone said, Simpler Times is great.

Their veggie chips, bagel chips, bagels, booze. Honestly most of the stuff there's good. I can't think of anything that was particularly bad.
