"Pizza" was invented in America by Italian immigrants. People keep trying to claim it's a European thing by citing bread and cheese or sauce combinations that went out of style centuries ago. Fact of the matter is, all three of those pizzas can be found in any city anywhere in the United States; and the most common pizza is Italy resembles the greasy NY pizza, served to your from a food court by middle-eastern immigrants.

Chicago style is like eating lasagna without the pasta and bread instead, which is good; thick layer of cheese and tomato sauce. New York is just grease, cheese, and tomato stains on stale bread, you might as well just make yourself a quesadilla and throw in some tomato sauce cause that would taste better.

#3 has pretty much the same problems when made poorly; foam plate thin almost stale cracker bread, cut your mouth concrete crust, pepperoni grease everywhere if used. But when made well it tastes great.

Pizza around the Cincinasty area is awesome. Crust turns out as thin as a St Louis, but it does have some yeast (very unusual actually). Regular cheese. Never heard it refered to by a specific name.

And never seen it served on a bed of lettuce either.

The reason for the squares is that its crispy and doesn't fold like New Pork style.

No. In the 16th century, a flatbread with sliced whole tomatoes, sliced mozzarella and olive oil was baked in a wood-fired earthenware oven in Naples.
In 1889, a man named Raffaele Esposito, a poor man and baker and presented it to Umberto I and his wife Margherita with the tricolours of the new Italian Union, using the previous tomato and mozzarella for the red and white (this time, the tomato being crushed) and adding basil leaves for the green.

By saying I'm prejudiced, you're implying I don't know what I'm doing with pizza.

I guess you would not know, but I am very particular about pizza - I've been very passionate about it and sought to make the best possible pizza for years now. The old no more than three toppings rule is very true - unless you want to put more, and in turn ensure that you put so few of an item on a pizza that there is hardly any on the pizza.

The focus of a pizza is the dough - anything on top is meant to augment that. Take your kebabshit somewhere else.

>> No.3964285

That's one thing.

>>Everything else is WRONG
NOW you're prejudiced.

The key to a good pizza nowadays is ingredient flow. In particular, most 'garden pizzas' that combine various vegetables work just fine. I also think most "meat conglomerations" are ok. Certain complex combo pizzas, such as Spinach-Chicken-Artichoke-Sundried tomato-Basil can also work.

I didn't post anything about Kebabs.

There's no balance of flavors.

There is no balance of texture.

There is no balance whatsoever.

I never said only my way is right - there are many ways to do toppings - but multiple toppings that oversaturate a fucking pizza is fucking not a pizza, does not go well, and is fucking fattastically amerishit.

French fry pizza is horrendously stupid. You're doing a disservice to proper pommes, and a disservice to a proper pizza. The two should not be mixed.

I'll try to explain it to you again:

A kebab pizza is a pizza like any others, it is topped with tomato sauce, cheese, kebab, mushroom, and pepperoni (or something along those lines).

It is then cooked, like any other pizza.

Kebab is generally quite heavy and mutton'y.

crispy salad is added to the pizza because it helps level out the kebab. A "fresh" dressing, based on creme fraiche, is usually added for the same reason.

The salad also helps add an additional layer of texture to the pizza.

It's okay if you want to be a pizza fundamentalist, just don't call my kebabpizza a non-pizza, when it obviously is.

Also please tell me what the fundamental difference is between a french fry pizza and a potato pizza? They're both pizzas with potatoes on them, why is it so atrocious because they are french fries?
