Saw this recipe on Facebook and decided to give it a go. Had 2 attempts, using both SR and plain flour, and both turned out to be bubbling, steaming cups of shit. Any ideas on how to make this thing actually work?

Cook it longer or make actual brownies.

I don't know what you did wrong OP, I followed those directions (with the exception of using tap water and cane sugar) and got a more or less perfect mug brownie.

Mug brownies fucking suck. Make small batches of regular brownies if you're too tempted by a full batch.

Could it be that I'm using caster sugar?

i think your mugs are too small

There's a better recipe than this somewhere.

It had chocolate chips and shit.

>> No.3947732

Just made a way smaller one, and it worked.

>>3947678
Gonna have to agree, it tastes pretty shit

Microwave brownie in a cup is one of the oldest trolls on /ck/.
I can't believe people still fall for this shit, it's supposed to come out looking and tasting like absolute shit.

Are you fucking kidding me.I made a cup yesterday in bowl and topped it with peanut butter and marshmallows ;It was fucking awesome.I used cadbury's cocoa and plain flour and rubbed some butter on the sides of the bowl.Remember to use a autobeater and check the shit in 30 sec intervals with a toothpick. What the fuck is wrong with you.

Needs an egg I think.

This whole thing is a giant bait to get people to make a mess in their microwaves. There's even a version of the recipe that will burst into flames when cooked in the microwave. It's the same thing as the "grow your own crystals" picture, which if you're curious, gives you a very instructional guide on how to fill your house with poisonous gas.

No. This is a legitimate recipe. The problem is that people aren't cooking it properly. If your mug is too thick or you cook on high for too long, you get a catastrophic mess. Every microwave has different outputs in watts so it's your settings and mug that you have to adjust, not your ingredients.

You live in Europe? You must add baking powder.
>olive oil to cake
>add water not milk
This recipe is shit.

Nah, Australia, I used plain flour in the white mug, and self raising in the one that looks like I've smeared shit all the way through my microwave

Who are you trying to convince? I know I was around when this troll was first thought up, don't know about the other guy. I watched the formation of it, and I've seen the results of people getting trolled by it. It isn't an actual recipe. Just stop being goddamn lazy and bake fucking brownies, they aren't fucking hard to make, and you don't have to eat them all on the spot. Put them in a storage container and save some for later.

indeed. this one has worked wonders for me, although it turns into more of a cake than a brownie when fully cooked. just cook it a little less and it's still gooey.

4 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons cocoa
2 tablespoons veg oil
2 tablespoons water
dash of salt
some chocolate chips

worked fine for me last time

What can I add to creamy pesto spaghetti besides chicken?

I'm a pretty crap cook but I love this dish:
Cream
Pesto
Spaghetti
Chicken

I got everything but the chicken and I want to make it but I want something to replace the chicken, what goes with pesto and cream?

Are you fucking retarded? Ive made mug brownies plenty of times. Some of the times they've turned out like shit like in OPs picture, but other times they've been really good. I always use the same recipe so I don't know what's up. My microwave does suck so I will blame it on that. The recipe is legit.

I kept telling people for fucking years on /ck/ that brownie in a mug is a fucking troll recipe. It either erupts on your or you lose your mug because it becomes cement that never comes out.

Meaning it isn't legit.

No, meaning my microwave is probably inconsistant since I always use the same recipe and 99% of the times it turns out beautifully. I don't really give a shit, though - by all means, do not use the recipe if you think it's some elaborate troll all of the internet is in on but yourself, but it does work.

why are people shitting in their mugs ?
