Tonight I had a New Glarus Enigma, and Founders Breakfast Stout. Both are excellent

haven't heard of either... where are you from?

might just be because stouts aren't really my style yet. I've been on an IPA craze for the last year or so

I'm from Wisconsin. The breakfast stout is an oatmeal stout brewed with chocolate and coffee, Engima is a cherry beer fermented with wild yeast

have you ever tried anything from Stone brewery? I have yet to try a beer of theirs that I didn't like...

their russian imperial stout is pretty delicious and I'm no stout connoisseur

I really wish they would sell New Glarus outside Wisconsin

I'm from Bend Oregon. The beer here is like mosquitoes on a diabetic at the lake. Fucking EVERYWHERE.
We have a good 15 microbreweries around town, with a population of under 90k.
A favorite IPA of mine is the Apocalypse from 10 Barrel Brewing. Hopped to an extreme amount, with a flowery pollen finish. Intense and delicious.
Great stuff.

I seriously feel bad for people stuck in the south.

For a lot of reasons but especially the beer

Actually it's not that bad if you know where to look. Most grocery stores stick to redneck beers, but the nicer liquor stores will stock beer from around the county and some imports. There's a store about 15 minutes from me that carries everything from Stone.

How's the torpedo compare to the standard ipa?

I find it a lot more hoppier. I had some on the weekend (Canadian, so a friend got me some in the U.S.).

Good stuff.

When I'm feeling masochistic I like a Stone IPA.

I don't have a very sophisticated palate, so my opinion doesn't count for much, but I enjoyed this.

I've been drinking that lately. Pretty good.

What are some other good wheat beers? I've just had Blue Moon and Hoegaarden.

Americanized dubbel, it's not Trappist caliber but it's great for the money.

I like that stuff, I like the andygator too!

I like them both because of their high ABV and great drinkability.
