I have a jar of pickle juice. I usually drink this shit right out the jar, but is there anything I could do with this? I love pickle juice.

I like mine after shots of bourbon. It really smooths it out like the lime and salt with tequila.

I guess it would be more of a boil than a poach, but do this with the pickle juice.

Every time I finish a jar of pickles in my apartment, I celebrate by making pickletinis.

Pickletini

5 parts good-quality vodka
1 part vermouth
1 part brine from a jar of Spears of Influence
2 olive-sized pieces of a Spear of Influence

Shake up the liquids in a martini shaker with ice, pour into a glass with the two pickle pieces.

Thar you go.

>> No.3875393

Also, I just pasted that recipe from my cookbook, it had a specific pickle named, but anything works.

I obtain pickle juice as a byproduct of my food service-related job. I brine 4 butterflied chicken breasts until monday, then I make grilled chicken breast sandwich/salad every day for lunch. Not every week, of course. If you're not gonna do the chicken at least drop some baby carrots and celery in there. Even better, mirliton.

>> No.3875470

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this but when I finished a jar of pickles I hardboil four or five eggs, peel them and drop them in the pickles jars to soak in the brine. You can poke holes in the boild eggs to let the brine seep in. Then I just pop the lid back on and keep them in the fridge. delicious briney eggs whenever, they make a great snack.

I'm surprised no one mentioned dipping chips (or crisps for your English friends) in the juice. Thats what I like to do.

I also heard a stand up comedian saying he would drizzle some on his sammiches.

My brother used to work at the concession stand at the movie theater. They sold whole pickles that came individually in bags with some juice (pic related).

He said that people would ask for the bag of juice so they could pour it on their popcorn. But he couldn't give it to them because of "health/safety" regualtions. I always wondered why. He could never get a straight answer from his boss.
