Hello /ck/ what do you think of my dinner?

I started off the night with an appetizer of crab cakes.

I smoked some weed while they were cooking and they tasted delicious.

I smoked a little more weed while I grilled the steak.

It's a dry aged prime NY strip. seasoned to perfection with sea salt and fresh ground pepper.

Served with parmesan mashed potatoes.
I paired it with a nice cheap merlot.

I'm enjoying it now.

Seconded. Why do people who smoke weed have the need to tell everyone? For that matter, anyone who does drugs.

they're crab cakes man. just take some lump crab meat and mix with a little dried bread crumbs, green onions, old bay, dijon mustard, and just enough mayo to make it cling together. (i always throw in some melted butter too.

refrigerate it for 1/2 hour to help it stick together then pan fry it in some oil or butter.

Really it's all about the quality of the crab

In the South we make "salmon patties". Canned salmon, binder, seasoning, and then fried in shallow oil.

They are awesome.

yeah i've had salmon cakes before. I make pretty good shrimp cakes too.

Shrimp are nice because they're so gel-y that you don't really need a binder

Looks delicious, but I would add some veggies to that meal. A fresh green salad or some roasted asparagus with balsamic vinegar.

yeah I usually do a really good broccoli with pepper and lemon. but I just made it like 2 nights ago and i just didn't feel like doing it again.

But usually I do broccoli with steak and potatoes. I know asparagus is more traditional but honestly I've never had asparagus that didn't taste like shit.
