I got this curry and 1 pound of pork cutlets. Would it work? Never made this or tried it before. Back of the box says beef, chicken, or lamb.

Also, how do I make it? instructions seem to be mostly Japanese.

If the box says beef, chicken or lamb then I would definitely NOT try pork. It might explode or something, you can never know.

Brown meat, sautéed veg, add water, bring to a boil then add roux. Simmer untill meat is cooked through and veg are tender. Serve with rice.

I recommend breading it and frying it first.

make tonkatsu cutlet
eat with curry

you fucking idiot

>> No.3771969

you can put almost anything in this, pork should be fine but I agree with making tonkatsu to go with it. I also recomend adding potatos to the curry, its fucking delicous.

Get some vegetables in there
carrots, potato's & onions(optional)
Faggot.

>> No.3772273

That's the only type of curry we can get here in west faggot texas ; ;

Am I missing out on anything better, /ck/?

How is it? I have a box I never opened.

I forgot to mention: This is how I do it, OP:

1.) Saute one large chopped union in atleast 4 TBs of oil w/ one clove of garlic.

2.)after the onions are golden brown, throw in the potatoes, carrots, celery and whatever other vegetable you want in there and stir fry that for 5 minutes.

3.) add the water and simmer that motherfucker until the potatoes are ALmost done (not too soft or they will break down when you add the curry and simmer for the extra 5 minutes).

4.) take the pot off the heat and add the curry mix (chopped) and simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

5.)thats fucking it.

I usually eat my curry with breaded chicken breast, but from time to time, I'll go full weeb and make some breaded pork cutlets. But that's hardly ever - too much fucking work.

I love it, then again. Its all I know in terms of Japanese curry. I've had indian curry (all times) but I really can't compare the two since both have very different tastes.

Yea! It's the bottom of the barrel when it comes to curry. I'd rate Thai above it (although personally I don't eat much Thai curry) Jamaican/Caribbean next and then Indian.

Indian curries are some of the best dishes hands down. My wife makes the jap curry once in awhile it reminds her of when she was a kid, Dat nostalgia.

You should make Indian curry at home bro.

Yeah, I've had Indian curry as well and I do prefer it over Nip curry. I guess I should have stated that the only type of Nip curry we get here is like the one in OPs pic.

How is the Indian in Texas?

>stir fry for five minutes
AHAHAHA curry?
you seem to have made a stir fry

>chicken breast
AHAHAHA lean meat in a slow cooked dish

Ok. Make cuts along the fat areas of the cutlet. Get rid of that bone. Put it in flour, then egg, then panko.

Meanwhile make the curry with some basic stew vegetables, add water, add roux block.

Cut up the cutlet, and serve over the curry, which is served over the rice.

Yeah, you see, I use already made breaded chicken breast for my curry. And sauteing the veggies with the onions and garlic give the veggies a more robust flavor. There's no single way of making Nip curry- that's what makes it such a unique dish. Everyone has their own way of making it.

If you're going to make boxed Japanese curry, use a better brand. Golden Curry is kind of bad.

I'd recommend Torokeru Curry (from the same company, oddly enough, but tastes a lot better). You can order it off Amazon for about the same price you'd get Golden Curry for.

Anyway, you really can't go wrong with anything in curry. Any vegetables or meat work, and you can add things like grated apples, cheese, milk, yogurt, chocolate... curry as a spice works well with both sweet and savory so you have a lot of options.
