saracha can ferment... it takes months but it can happen. it will change to a darker brown color, and it will taste a bit different. refrigeration slows down the process.

Interesting, I've never run into that problem before. Maybe I use it up before it turns? I'll give it a shot.

i also think you should do this. not sure why, but i do this on impulse as soon as i open a new bottle of sriracha.

Don't even bother putting it in the fridge. Even if it does ferment, it actually taste BETTER.

Its almost time for me to buy more anyway. Maybe I'll just buy two bottles, have a little experiment, and try it both ways.

>> No.3715116

You need less boxed "helpers" and canned food.

Also, buy fewer seasonings and more individual spices. You can make all that stuff on your own.

The picture of Wolfgang Puck creeped me out. I wouldn't want him staring at me every time I opened the cupboard. Turn it around or cover with electrical tape.

it takes months to turn... well, it doesnt "turn" because its not bad tasting, and its not harmful.... it just tastes less sweet. oyu wont notice normaly, but if you do a side by side on a new bottle and a 3-4 month old one, there is a color and taste difference.

hey, I live in LA too! get rid of those boxed meals, shall we. get some cans of blue runner white beans to have on hand when you are feeling lazy and some canned green chilis to throw in a pot with some chisesi's pride ham seasoning cook for a few minutes to an hour and toss over rice for a quick go to.

Are those lentils in the top left?

I could suggest a lot of improvements, but overall, it looks like good post-apocalyptic food. That's not a bad thing necessarily, but you've got to start eating healthier.

I suggest you eat what's there (don't be wasteful), and then never buy canned beans and boxed meal helpers again. Nothing that says "seasoning" on the label. Canned tomatoes are fine. Chipotle peppers and hot sauce are boss. Boil in bag rice makes me want to stab your face -- the markup on that is atrocious. Whoever thought up how to cheat white women who can't cook out of their money is a genius, because selling 8 ounces of rice for $3 is super villain quality stuff.

Disclaimer: These are just my opinions.

ham seasoning is just end pieces of ham, cut up and sold at a cheaper price to get rid of them

I'm kind of irritated with you for having like 13 different hot sauces, but all of your herbs and spices appear to be blends, garlic powder, salt, and pepper flakes.

No rosemary, no sage, no cumin, no coriander, no allspice, no paprika, no vanilla extract, no...
well, you get the idea.

>>3715116

This guy has the right idea. You would be genuinely up a creek if you tried to bake something as simple as banana bread, let alone do much of anything other than season grilled chicken.

Also, why do you have uncle ben's rice? that shit is awful and you actually already have real rice anyway.
