Today, we discuss your favorite hot sauces. Describe their flavor and what foods you put it on. The more obscure the hot sauce, the better.

I'll start:
>slightly sweet with a good burn
>thick consistency
>goes particularly well with lasagna

Anyway, if you want obscure hot sauce, my aunt that lives in Ville Platte makes some by soaking peppers in vinegar.

Name's a little meh, but it's a great hot hot-sauce.
Red ripe jalapenos, not the green Tabasco with dye in it.

scratch that. It's this one. (the one with habaneros)

>> No.3702924

A few years ago my parents went on some cruise that went through Chile and brought back the most amazing hot sauce I've ever eaten. It was really thick, had chunks of fruit or something (maybe it was bell pepper), tasted sweet, and burned to all fuck. It went great with lightly seasoned chicken. Fuck, I miss it. They only bought a small bottle because they didn't know how much we'd like it, and it went in like a month. Took so long because it was so hot, you didn't have to use very much.

Goddamnit. Sweet + Hot = Best

This is my go-to. I liked the chili flavor of sriracha but the garlic is a bit much for me.

If I want garlic flavor, I'll just add it separately.

This is where I have drawn the line for myself as well. Although when I first started using daves I would tear up like a baby just tasting a little bit of it. Recently I have been using it so much that I have really gotten used to it and I have to use a ton to get that same effect. It is also really old, so maybe it is losing potency?

Anyway, pic related, my favorite. I love making mexican food and this stuff just goes well with all of it. Or sweetpotatoes, or hot dogs, or pot roast, etc. It is a pretty mild sauce, but I love the hell out of it.

El Yucateco XXX. Get the one that says "Original Mayan Recipe". Awesome habanero flavor without blowing your head off with heat. I love all kinds of hot sauce, different ones for different things. This is just one of my favorites that I don't see mentioned.

OP is not a faggot, because rooster sauce does go amazingly well with lasagna. Seriously I thought I was the only one.....

Also, currently growing a mixture of chili/habenero/banana peppers to make my own sauce. If I can afford an oak barrel I'm going to make chipotle tobasco...if not I'm making chipotle rooster. I've already got a couple dried.

Best pic I can find of what the bottle looks like.
>Zorbaz hot sauce
>thick and shiny, with hunks of chilies in it
>Not quite as hot as Dave's Insanity, but very spicy nonetheless (coming from someone who uses Dave's Insanity every day)
>Excellent flavors, very strong chili taste gets my salivary glands aching
>Goes well with..anything, its hot sauce
>Can only be bought at the Zorbaz restaurant in Minnesota
