Beaver is my favorite brand of mustard, specifically their Sweet Hot variety. it's like more flavorful honey mustard with some heat to it, and you can also say "pass me that sweet hot beaver" etc

boetje's is also delicious. some other small towns in NE IA/NW IL have great mustards as well, for example if you ever go to Ludovissy's in North Buena Vista or Mulgrew's in East Dubuque I highly recommend you buy their homemade mustard behind the bar. these immigrant families keep the recipe in the family you see. i assume it's the same in many euro-immigrant heavy areas around the country.

No; a commercial isn't a meme. The meme was people going around saying in a snooty, posh voice, "pardon me, would you have any grey poopon?" to their friends. Bill & Ted wouldn't have spoofed the commercial were it not for the meme.

The only problem I have with their horseradish is the smell. Whenever it goes past the expiration date I do a smell test and it always has this weird sulfur smell to it. Does this stuff just go bad quickly? All the other condiments I have seem to last forever.
