It's good mayo because it's savory; not sweet, too many western mayos have sugar. Kewpie doesn't have sugar.
Quick poverty recipe to test it out:
Slice boneless+skinless chicken thigh into 1 inch pieces
Season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper
Shallow fry in butter/ghee on medium-high heat
Add kewpie. Delish.

Theres couple different versions. Seems the one manufactured in USA doesnt have msg (e621), uses different vinegar mix, USA one doesnt warn about apples being included. Different oilmix as they use rapeseed more than soybean.

Checked. Real Kewpie isn't actually mayonnaise, it's made from something called "shirako", I think it comes from fish. Shirako literally means "white child", hence the logo.

It's hard to get the real stuff in America though, the export variety is just normal mayo. If you have a Japanese market in your area, not an "Asian" (Korean) market but a real Jap store owned by Nisei, tell the owner you want his shirako and are willing to pay.
