Anyone here ever tried this or any other extremely hot chili powder seasonings? I’m curious how powerful it is or how many shakes of it I might need for say a bowl of ramen or such

I don't like the way Carolina Reaper's taste.

My brother had something like this once. I've got a pretty high tolerance for spicy, but anything more than a few grains of the stuff was enough to ruin a meal. After a couple of years it mellowed out and it was really tasty.

Impossible to tell. As with any other "hot" product, you won't know until you know the CONCENTRATION of pepper. Manufacturers love putting "reaper" and "ghost pepper" on the label because it's a meme--but you can make a "reaper" product that's milder than a jalapeno by diluting it enough.

(If you're in doubt, rub a little bit on your anus before eating, that helps to prepare the body.)

lol. I ordered that stuff last night but it will be a week before it gets here. Maybe I’ll make a follow up thread testing it.

I have that exact reaper powder that I also ordered from Amazon. It is super hot, one or two shakes is all I need. I like spicy food and have a decent tolerance and find it incredibly hot.

Fucking perfect anon, I highly appreciate your input and I am looking forward to getting this package even more now

It isn’t some fugazi Amazon shit that claims to be hot and isn’t. It tastes like the whole dried reaper pods I’ve had. I’m pretty confident it really is just dried reapers ground into a powder.

This was my hopes. I wanted a very hot seasoning that would last for a long time. Do you think I could put a tiny shake of it into a little puddle of basic hot sauce like Texas Pete or Cholula to boost the heat or would it be overkill and it’s only good for larger dishes?

My friend made some of this at home with peppers he grew in his garden and made mustard gas, his family had to stay the night at a hotel, and he had to sleep in the yard because they needed to open all the windows and doors, didn't want to get burgled

Yes, that should work. I like adding a few shakes to soy sauce to make a very spicy dipping sauce. It’s probably best used as a seasoning for already cooked food. Super hot peppers aren’t good for cooking with because of the strong flavor and overwhelming heat. And you really don’t want super hot pepper cooking fumes in your home.

Good to know, I didn’t really think of that beforehand and was gonna use it for seasoning quesadilla with before I cook them. Don’t wanna make mustard gas

I got the same exact one a couple years ago and it's still hot as hell.

I'll never not be amused by idiots taking pretty much pure capsaicin because "Yeah - Hiigh tolerance" and then being overwhelmed by the effect.
These extracts as far as the body is concerned are pretty much already pure capsaicin.
And you have to keep in mind that the receptors it triggers are heat ones - in other words your consciousness may know that it is just some substance and not actual temperature - but the body DOESN'T. As far as it is concerned taking a spoonful of it it is equal to you swallowing some glowing coals - with all the results this dumb move entails.

Any heat which detracts from the other flavors have no business being in a meal other than to desperately trying to make a competition out of it.
