I've had the chocolate colas in the past, and the pelligrino seltzer water that tastes like chocolate-coffee flavored caffeinated water, sooooooo bad as you can already imagine before trying it OP.

Closest thing to Calorie Mate I've had was a Datrex bar. It wasn't bad necessarily just very bland like stale shortbread, even though it was well within its shelf life.

It's not though. They specifically say on their website it's not recommended to replace a meal, it's meant to supplement calories, and vitamins when doing strenuous activity. It's an energy bar, not a meal. In an emergency situation it could be used as a meal replacement to facilitate survival, but that is not the intended use.
