My weekly Sheetz runs are still affordable and give good product for the money. Except the pizza flats. Don't get anything with chicken in that category. They undercook it and you get fucked in the ass by salmonella.

No, especially if you live in a metro with a lot of food choices. I have hole in the walls or mom&pop places that serve better food for the same cost or cheaper. Fast food is now what chain sit down restaurants were in the 00’s, and chain restaurants are sometimes the same price as higher end places now.

I can still get a large pizza at dominos for like eight bucks, it's a pretty good deal. There are select discounts on all the apps that are actual normal earth pricing instead of the inflated hell we're getting, but I did have to sell my soul and information to the data-collecting jews.

The issue isn't really passive data collection or monitoring by the app, your phone can stop all that pretty easily on its own. They take those individual moments and still extract as much data as they can, if you used the same phone or phone number or email or other information that can bridge a connection, they've already made that connection, and there's probably some "relevant" data included in your profile about how you uninstall after every use, because that's marketable information too.

i got KFC yesterday and it was 12$ for their five piece strips and 2 sides. I was like, wow thats a good deal then i opened the box.

five strips, all of them two bites. Possibly 1/3 the size they were five years ago. fries, not wedges (I know ts been fries for a while now). tiny biscuit, a bowl of mac and cheese that I ate in 3 spoonfulls.

Taco bell has a box you can only order online or some shit that costs $5 and lets you add a crunchwrap which itself usually costs $5, so I mean, it's not the worst deal but it's still $5 for shitty food.

it's not. I still eat out about the same amount (once a week) I just take my money to different places. I can go get sushi or pita wraps or tacos or whatever. I think the price hikes may have ended up helping small business at the expense of fast food franchises. For $10 I can get a really tasty pita wrap and a salad at the local Greek place, but that just feels like too much money to spend at Taco Bell or Mcdonalds so my money goes to the old Greek man.

It's fucked up to remember that the cash I was making part time in high school (mid 00s) had more buying power than any side gig a kid could take today. Taco Bell with the boys was common so a lot of those menu prices are stuck in my head as a metric. What used to be $4.44 is now almost $10 (#7).
