I don't know, it ruined strawberry icecream for me as a kid, I didn't want the cheap-ass gross strawberry bits in there. The only explanation I can imagine is that some dipshit company had a worthless focus group that said they wanted strawberry chunks and here we are.

That's why I've made my own in the past but my ice cream machine b0rked. You and I should bite the bullet and just buy ice cream machines so that we can have better strawberry ice cream.

My homemade ice cream blitzes the cherries completely smooth so there aren't any bits or chunks. Super easy, too. Worst ice cream to make at home is mango because it's so fibrous and staining it can be a bitch.

What I don't understand is what anon said that was so "monumentally stupid." Plain ice cream exists and is common pretty much everywhere except the anglosphere so I knew exactly what anon meant when he mentioned it. I've gotten similarly befuddled reactions as he did when I mentioned that my best friend, who is the most boring person on earth, is so disinteresting that his favourite ice cream is "plain (no, not vanilla)" and his favourite snack is plain-ass rusk.
