I love it. Grew up eating my mom's simple recipe for tuna salad of tuna, mayo, pickle, and boiled egg. That on some white toast and a salad is a nice, healthy meal.

Tuna is great but I like the tuna packed in olive oil more than packed in just water
tuna fat is pure omega 3s which is great; deenz are good but they have more of a 1:1 ratio of omega3:omega6 (still better than any other food most people eat)

I think canned food in general gets a bad rap these days. People see it as being unhealthy or lower quality. We have TONS of cans in our pantry. Canned beans, canned tomatoes, canned vegetables, canned meat and seafood. It's amazing because it's indefinitely shelf stable and it's always there for a quick weeknight meal or a lazy Saturday lunch or whatever. I'm pro-can.

Mayo isn't that bad for you, and it's much better for toasting the bread for a tuna melt than butter. Seriously, real mayo slapped on some bread and pan fried is a great choice for a lot of tangy/gamey/acidic sandwiches.
