my parents worked all night and spent their day time while I was at school preparing for work, while my childhood isn't bad because I spent a lot of time with friends outside of the unsupervised home, there was at times I did wish for my parents to be there when they weren't. Anyways, it's true, neglected children like me were raised by salisbury steaks and Sega Genesis

I also want to add, it's also kind of sad that the salisbury steak has been associated with low class neglected children because I did get to try a legit salisbury steak made from prime cuts and it's a whole different kind of meal from the frozen packs

Hence "FAMILY SIZE". It's for lazy parents.

If my brother wanted me to babysit his kids for a week, this is the kind of shit I would buy to make their meals fast and quick.

lol I remember my freezer being stuffed full of banquet shit. little debbie snacks on the counter. off-brand soda in the fridge that i'd drink at 3am when thirsty. it was like prison food.

I wasn't prepared for these feels on /ck/. I was raised by a single mom (a doctor with her own practice) so I'd get home from school around 4, and would have 2-3 hours alone. After I turned about 9 mom got tired of idiotic babysitters not really doing anything so she would stock the fridges with lunchables, soda, cookies, chips, and frozen food. So I'd come home from school eating garbage like microwaved stouffers, watching dragon ball Z, eating dinner and then pretend to do homework.

Mom in her 70s now has started saying "I didn't raise you that way" when she disagrees with me. I don't quite have it in me to tell her I simple wasn't raised.

How lucky you are. My mom was a therapist just making 30k a year and would make jokes all throughout my childhood about how she regretted having a boy and she wanted a girl. When I called her out on being a misandrist a few years ago at 35, she just turned it back on me.

Ah well. At least you're gonna get some money at some point. My money is gonna come from my fatass dad who somehow remembers that he produced a kid. At least there aren't any others.

lol my uncle had a roommate and when my uncle passed away we moved into his house and the roommate had nothing but TV dinners dedicated to one fridge. I wish I would have taken a picture of it because I never knew someone could be so lazy. He was on SSI disability so maybe that added to it.
