I rarely ask the supermarket to take the responsibility of picking out fruit and veggies for me, but COME ON they did this on purpose.

That's on you. I only buy firm heads for lettuce.

Yeah what do you think they're going to do with their ugly produce?

>> No.20341203

>>20341162
it's ugly but it's also missing half it's fucking leaves. this is damaged goods!

>> No.20341221

>>20341151
Not deliberate, just doing their job. They're not going to check produce for you, they're told to fill the baskets to be boxed and delivered. It's a great way to sell shit produce at full price. Same goes for those boxed meal kits, you get the bottom of the barrel and you're paying a premium for it to have it delivered.

>> No.20341223

>>20341151
I don't get it, why don't you just not buy it? Was it the last one left or something?

>> No.20341229

>>20341221
well everything else I get is always fine. also they've given me a refund already, and my delivery fee was $3. only a sperging wagie having a tantrum would skip over all the full heads of lettuce and grab this. they generally wouldn't even leave something like this on display

I had my groceries delivered. usually I don't buy produce for delivery but under the circumstances I kind of had to add a couple to this order and they picked out this shit

>> No.20341241

>>20341233
almost all of my local produce this past week has been shit so maybe that's just all that was there. especially the lettuces there hasn't been much worth buying. except green bell peppers for some reason.

maybe if you weren't such a gross lazy fat fuck you'd reconsider having your disgusting lettuce delivered straight to your incel apartment door? get off your feet and go to the store useless piece of shit.

hmm yeah maybe it was just a bad lettuce week. they did get a cyclone up north and sometimes that causes a lot of produce to drop off for awhile. I've had a friend staying with me the last couple weeks and we've been busy all day long with travel and activities so I haven't had a chance to do shopping this whole time; so I have no idea what's going on there. I did notice that I couldn't buy potatoes at all; they were completely out of stock on all the loose ones

it costs the same except I save a shitload of time and personal expense. It'd be foolish not to. My only real mistake this time around was asking them to pick out produce which I never usually do.

then what is the problem here?

>> No.20341309

>>20341303
the problem is the one time I trust them to send me veggies I learn I could not trust them to do so. because that baseball-sized brown piece of shit head of lettuce should be considered unsalable.

see, that's what i don't get about delivery cucks. you guys think that the wagies are going to dig through the produce to pick out the best of the best? sorry, that privilege is reserved to the people that aren't too fat to go to the store. no, it doesn't cost the same. you pay the same for less

>> No.20341335

I never order produce anon, this was a one off.

This thread is a cautionary tale.

>except this 1 time when i did, lol oops ^_^
Your self-image is a lie. You are forverially "the retard who ordered lettuce from Doordash". Sucks to suck, gg no re. Admit it, and start rebuilding your life. It's springtime, anon. Plant a garden. I'm sure Doordash can get you some lettuce seeds from Home Depot.

>> No.20341381

>>20341351
It's autumn, and I order directly from the supermarket. The delivery fee was $3 or usually free when I buy enough. I have a nice garden but because I have too many shade trees it's not good for produce.

Sorry anon, I didn't realize, you're probably more comfortable buying lettuce on AliExpress or Temu.

>> No.20341394

lmao, I know for a fact certain workers at the whole foods I order from pick out the shittiest stuff they can possibly find. There is this one asian lady who does everything perfectly except she ties all the plastic bags in knots. This other black girl always gives me the most fucked up produce. Hilariously small or big or rotten.

I'd probably do the same thing in their situation. Actually I'd probably do much worse things.
