This is the $16 prime rib at El Cortez casino in Las Vegas and it was delicious.

That looks awesome! There is a lot of great restaurants for prime rib and steak in Las Vegas. I like my prime rib with a lobster tail. I am such a regular at my local prime rib joint, when I order, I always tell the waitress, “King cut prime rib little lady, make it medium rare, and, oh yeah, add a tail with that!” My wife always rolls her eyes and she and the waitress look at each other and laugh.

Do you have to get carrot coins, or do they have other vegetables? I would smash that plate if it had broccoli or asparagus instead.

When I was a little kid my parents and I spent w four day weekend in Niagara Falls. One evening we were trying to decide what to get to eat that wasn't fast food and dad said we were going to a tourist trap restaurant off to the side
Both my parents kept saying as we walked in there that it was going to suck but we were really hungry
They both ordered the prime rib and I got a steak. My steak was delicious and they both said that was probably the best prime rib they have ever eaten. For years after that we would talk about that meal.

Probably because this event likely actually happened.
Prime rib with a lobster tail is a god tier decadent meal by the way

It probably isn't there anymore
I thought it was very close to the heart of the tourist trap area. Like near Ripley's.

Prime rib is such depressing gross boomer chow. Mushy, soft, bland, with globs of gelatinous fat that serves no purpose because heat has never come near it

These are the kinds of master race gigachads who think prime rib is good:

I want to go to Vegas for that Wagyu buffet that's like $50. My girlfriend saw it on tik-tok so I suppose that trash can be useful. The casinos in Shreveport all shut down their buffets under the guide of COVID when it was clearly just to save money like how Walmart isn't 24/7 anymore. Fuck this gay Earth.

It's different, softer texture, different flavors, I feel like you get more of an overwhelming beef flavor versus the variation between the char and center of a steak, plus the au jus and hopefully horseradish sauce, it's just a different meal. I probably rate prime rib higher just because it's much easier to buy a nice steak and cook it than make a prime rib at home, so I eat steaks much more often

>>20320257
iirc it's the entire piece that ribeye steaks would be cut from roasted

This right here. I love a nice slab of prime rib. There’s nothing else quite like it

>Isn't a prime rib a type of steak?
no
it is a different cut
might be the same part of the animal but the cut is different

steak is a slab cut from raw meat and cooked
this "prime rib" is a slab cut from a larger, roasted piece

these differences lead to vastly different flavor and textures

>> No.20321284

>>20321265
the prime in prime rib refers to the grading of the meat, but it's the same cut as ribeye or rib roast.

Heck I'd do better with a salisbury steak with accoutrements and it would cost less than $16.
