The president is basically an elected king in terms of the powers he gets compared to the actual powers the king had pre-revolution.

Boiardi was born in Piacenza, Italy, in 1897, to Giuseppe and Maria Maffi Boiardi. At the age of 11, he was working as an apprentice chef at local restaurant "La Croce Bianca"

The King of England stopped being an actual king a century before the revolution. That's not really saying much. A real king has unilateral power, which is not even remotely close to the POTUS.

Chef Boiardi deserves recognition, but that particular story is easy to prove fake. The president's wedding it pretty well documented, and the location was different. I don't know if Chef Boiardi was in the same state.

Woodrow Wilson, like many other Presidents, spent time at the Greenbrier in White Sulfer Springs, West Virginia. “Chef Hector also earned work at The Greenbrier Hotel in West Virginia, where he oversaw catering for the wedding reception of President Woodrow Wilson.”

By that point he would have been King of either the UK or Great Britain depending what term they were using and that's why I specified the actual powers the King had which by that point were largely foreign policy, theoretical head of the armed forces and internal ceremonial and executive powers limited by his influence in parliament. The US President has those roles formalised instead of varying up and down on how popular the individual monarch was and then it's been kinda frozen in that shape as the British monarchy continued to decline into simple symbolism.

>A real king has unilateral power, which is not even remotely close to the POTUS.
There's a spectrum between absolute monarchy, constitutional monarchy and simple figurehead monarchy. By the time of the US revolution the British monarchy had definitely moved firmly into constitutional monarchy. It helps in general to remember the US revolution and resulting constitution was mostly people re-asserting the rights they believed they already had as British subjects not inventing new rights from thin air to the point you can go look up the English bill of rights from the late 1600s and see word-for-word copies the US bill of rights got. Initially only the most radical groups wanted to get rid of the King too.

Presidents and kings are only remembered if you try other than the key famous ones. Boyardee is a household name and comes naturally, who's the real king.

>> No.20310642

The Bill of Rights were AMENDED onto the constitution and had to be fought for tooth and nail by the faction of the founding fathers that actually had real ideas. The federalists pushed all of those people out of power after ratification, and the counter-revolution was complete. The main body of the constitution mostly just enshrined the rights of land speculators, merchants, and moneylenders to fuck over regular people.
> Paine scathingly wrote in regards to Washington that, "Monopolies of every kind marked your administration almost in the moment of its commencement. The lands obtained by the Revolution were lavished upon partisans; the interest of the disbanded soldier was sold to the speculator…In what fraudulent light must Mr. Washington's character appear in the world, when his declarations and his conduct are compared together!

Maybe not legally, but the legal system was invented by people and is intrinsically meaningless. In practice, the US government is a private entity controlled by pic related.
