they just opened one in my city and it sucks. the belts are like 80% empty and when i asked "hey why are they all empty" i was told because it adjusts based on demand. so there i was, demanding sushi on the belts, only to be told the algorithm decided there wasn't enough demand. and sure, i could just order on the touch screen. but i want to pick it off the belt. fuck you.
i do like the robots that deliver the drinks though.

I remember me and my dealer were at a conveyer sushi place once and we were so starving. It was like 11 right when they opened up and we sat around the belt right where it comes out. We took like 30 plates. Everything the guy made for the first 45 minutes we took and ate immediately and the the guys at the other side of the bar got absolutely nothing till we left. I remember that japs face like you wouldn't believe.

God I miss being young.

The thing is to be very selective, there have have been very nasty oriental buffets which is why any human has to be very selective.

what are you supposed to do with your soup bowls? just leave them? i went to tokyo and tried kura for the first time. it was okay. but i ordered a soup and realized there was no bowl slot and didn't know what the right thing to do was. so i just left it there.
the desserts were bad but japanese "desserts" as a whole aren't good.
it's also not nearly as good of a value to eat kura here in america but i guess thats just currency exchange

I went to one of these things as a kid with my little sister and brother.
My brother and I only went because it was sis’s birthday but we hated sushi.
We ate all the oranges they had, we could see them chopping them up and the pile slowly dwindle.
We must have had 10-20 oranges each
