Tamago Kake Gohan. It’s basically just rice egg soy sauce and furikake mixed together, and it’s a delicious meal for how super-easy it is to make. The simple base feels like it’s really open to getting creative with what you add. What are your thoughts on additions or modifications for TKG?

After going crazy grating fresh nutmeg on everything for a while, one of the few things I would actually recommend is on tamago kake gohan. It made the whole thing warmer and creamier.

do I just put the raw egg on the rice?

>> No.20245953

>>20245909
You don’t, just put the raw egg into the freshly made rice and mix it up. You can get pasteurized eggs if you’re worried about salmonella, but it should be fine.

Tamagokake ochatzuke is where its at.
I like having some of the hot water in, but you can just use the ochatzuke like furikake. Shit is fucking good.

That's ochatsuke at its most basic. They sell packets of instant ochatsuke, which is a mix of seasonings and toppings. They've got a variety of flavours.
You pur out the packet on the rice, add some water/tea. Mix and eat. It's pretty good.
