WHEN THE CLOCK STRIKES

Or maybe that's just how real potatoes looked, when they were fried in beef tallow without glyphosates, by an employee who wouldn't spit in your food because you all live in the same neighborhood and someone who did that would be ostracized instead of going viral on Tiktok. Or yeah, maybe the coloring sucked.

I miss those sizes, too bad that crack addict alcoholic had to go make a propaganda film

I believe in my fries
I believe in the super size
I dream about em every night and day
Chicken nuggets and fish filet
I believe in my straw
See me running through McDonald's door
They have the lowest deals
Cheeseburgers and happy meals

Probably a limitation of the printing technology of the time, especially if those were newspaper ads. Glossy magazines were better at color reproduction but ever with that you needed to be skilled at producing ads that would come out of the press looking good.

Eh, the supersize fries were always a ripoff. Something like 6.7oz to 6.1oz in the large
They made the container huge and only filled it halfway

>> No.20245089

>>20245081
At most locations there's only one size of fry scoop so you'll never get more than it can hold. Containers with more volume than the scoop are a waste. Also they can pack quite a bit into the paper sleeve for the small fries, which makes it a good value.

Yeah it was becoming well known by 2000 that it was kind of a ripoff to get super-sized
I wonder if that was the real reason they dropped it.

I still wish they'd bring it back for a limited time

That's an interesting theory and we can amp it up to be a cross-board /ck/ /tv/ /x/ conspiracy theory by saying McDonald's paid Spurlock to make 'Super Size Me' so they'd have an excuse to do away with the promotion.

They used to fry them darker, but then there was the big acrylamide scare and they started frying them light. Source: my ass.

the trans fat bullshit was so they could switch to the cheaper "oil" instead of using tallow

I like it boys
In the early 2000s mcdonalds was facing a bit of a problem with diminishing sales. Investors started to worry.
They did indeed finance Spurlocks movie. They were willing to nuke the old image of mcdonalds in an attempt to start selling that lifestyle choices menu in 2004.
The movie was a psyop false flag to push the public towards the neomcdonalds.
Except it failed, because people love mcdonalds trashy slop.

That ad was printed in 1965.
Mcdonalds didn't start using frozen french fries until 1967.
