Jacques Pepin's son in law taught French cuisine at the culinary school I went to. He refused to answer any questions about him and was generally just kind of a dick to everyone who he didn't think was going to make it. He kind of had the worst character aspects of both French and Americans, and as an American who speaks nearly fluent French I kind of hate both.

More on topic, I love Steven Raichlen. He's a good example of an American (to clarify, Pepin's daughter married an American chef who studied in France; I'm not saying Pepin himself is American...).

I posted this guy a few years ago and said he's really good if you want to work on your French, as everything is very clear and easy to understand, and if you don't know the name of an ingredient or tool it's really easy to understand what he's talking about from the context. A frog replied and said he actually has a speech impediment, and frogs think he sounds like a retard. I'm honestly still not sure if he was trolling.

My dad's the same except his first language was Polish even though he was born and raised in France
After my parents moved to the US he had to put on a fake French accent to get jobs (he was a chef with a local news TV spot) because his real accent doesn't sound French at all

I have a long Duolingo streak in French (alittle less than 2k days.) I swear I've learned moar from Dumas. Some words I just don't get, but he's 'taught me a lot with respect to pronunciation. And I've made a bunch of his risippys.

I discovered him through a twitch channel that just played cooking shows 24/7 and they happen to have a bunch of what they broadcasted on their own youtube channel. Not sure if they have everything, but you can at least get some good names.
