Is there anything better to enjoy on an airplane than ginger ale?

For me it’s this or tomato juice, the reduced sense of taste & smell makes their flavors “just right” when flying.

For some odd reason I love diet coke on a plane. I would never drink it in any other situation but somehow the taste changes and it's amazing at 30,000 feet.

1k and fly first mostly, business so I don't foot the bill. Always drink bloody mary's and then gin and tonics if I am drinking alcohol. Those are good drinks on airliners.

If flying on ANA or another Japanese airline, it's saki. In Japanese lounges, I drink their whisy. Those are best there.

European airlines and Emirates have quality wines and I drink dry finishing reds and actual expensive champaign if they offer premium in first.

Argentine internal airline lounges have top tier Malbecs that are insanely delicious and I get drunk as a skunk when down there.

Lots of good beverages to be had if you are not paying for it. Drink and get a little happy unless you are a bad drunk. I am a pleasant fellow when smashed, fortunately.

Last time flying brought a bag of taco bell.
I drink double bloody marys. if you order a double you get two little bottles and the whole can of Mrs T's spicy mary mix. ask for some limes and olives and i'm good for at least 5 hrs then I order beers for the rest of the flight.

How can people justify spending money for first or business class? Are they real rich or are most really travel fro business and the corp pays?

I'm asking because I'm not poor but not so rich either. I could easily spend the extra bucks for business but I never did because I'd rather spend the money at my destination and a 10h flight can be sat out even eco.

They gotta be all mid level goys getting reimbursed. Even business is like 2 k. These people make like 80k. They wear cheap non fitted suits and wear dress shoes with plastic soles but somehow float that kind of money for a flight? The plane ride is the closest most ever get to luxury.

First class to Hawaii was like 4-5 k. That’s the same price for an all exclusive week stay at the Hilton.

I plan my vacations for when the price bottoms out on business class, from my home airport I can get return trip business to Tokyo for just under 2k euros if I am flexible with the dates
Considering that nowadays I can basically never find that trip in economy for under 1k, it's a lot easier to make that jump

Well worth it when just the long leg is 14.5 hours, and 1k extra spending on some decadency is not that bad, I spent more just on scotch in some years

Yea I've seen business tickets go for cheap when the date isn't that important. Sadly that's not the case for us. We fly to LAX in August from Europe and need certain dates for our paid leave at work. The cheapest business ticket was 2400€ back and forth for one person. That's more than half the money we spent on mid class hotels while we do our trip per person (nearly three weeks). Maybe one day I will get a good deal and try out business, this year I just sit a 12h flight out in eco.

>> No.20128841

>>20128838
Its 2400€ extra for an already 1300€ ticket, so 3.7k per person. Sorry it's still early.
