This week I have had for lunch, in no particular order: a burrito, pho, chili and a burger. Probably going to skip lunch today since I have a big project to work on but normally my work group does sushi on Friday.

Our country is very health conscious in average and everyday meals. A lot of people eat a light lunch and if they work in an office or similar, they eat at a cafeteria or a similar restaurant. The meals are usually affordable and prioritize variety and healthiness. This is a part of our culture, which we pick up in school. Finnish legislation guarantees pupils and students the right to free meals during school days from pre-primary and basic education until the completion of upper secondary education.

I feel like the stereotypical American lunch is a sandwich, usually with deli meat and cheese.

Today I made some soup from leftover roasted chicken. Notbad.jpg I tend to be OMAD to 1.5MAD, so the small amount of soup was the .5.

Spain here.
Lunch is usually from 2PM to 4PM and is considered the biggest meal of the day. And in a day to day consists of a first dish(primer plato), second dish(segundo plato) and a dessert(postre). With maybe some smaller side dishes.

For first dish it is normally a salad(we have tons fresh of veggies all year around), soup(sopa de ajo, salmorejo, gazpacho, etc) or even a plate of cold cuts and cheese(embutidos, salchichón, jamon ibérico, chorizo, lomo, queso manchego, queso semi curado, queso curado etc)
For second dish it is usually a meat or fish dish. Like cocidos(stews), filetes(steaks), croquetas, pisto, paella, albóndigas, tortilla de patatas, chicken dishes like pollo al ajillo, filetes empanados and so on.
And for dessert something like natillas, flan or fruit.
The drinks that normally goes with this meal are beer, wine or tinto de verano(wine with carbonated water with sweeteners).
This is almost universally followed by a cup of coffee.

My mom works at a school for poor children in America and she eats Whataburger / Frozen meals, or food that I prepare for her lunch if I wanted to freestyle something in the kitchen that week.

Me personally I like junk food like pizza rolls, steak fingers, grilled cheese, $5 wendy's biggie bag, chinese buffet, banquet dinners, alfredo pasta. I'm not a fatso though and I take supplements.

Canada, specifically Quebec
Lazy people and/or retarded people will have frozen meals, tv dinners, commercial snack cakes and such.
Slightly less lazy people and/or retarded people will have a shitty sandwich and kid's dessert.
Average non-cook will have an alright sandwich and usually some vegetable crudité or fruits. Sometimes you'll see a tupperware of simple sloppa, or reheated frozen tendies and the likes.
Decent parents and/or average cooks will have home made meals, often leftovers. This is were you start seeing proper food. Pretty much anything local goes so you'll usually see french or italian stuff (roughly speaking), salads, stews, americanized chinese or indian food, meat pies, salmon & veggies, ect. Nothing too exotic but generally a good variety of decent food.
Then there's the vegans, women on retarded diets, /fit/bros and fitcels and all the other weirdos having their very specific shitty ass food.

You generally don't see "breakfast" food for lunch, unless some group is doing a brunch
