Climate Change is used to put the blame almost entirely on the consumer, when environmentalists were the ones unearthing illegal waste dumping. Climate Change is nebulous and nefarious obfuscation to hide the actions of the ultra-wealthy.
Ask yourself why everyone going to a Climate Summit goes via extremely carbon-non neutral private jet.
Also because it bogs the entire discussion into a debate about its reality and validity, where we could get the same results if we just pointed to catastrophic environmental disasters like Germany's coal mining shenanigans.
