I can't remember exactly. I think mostly because I didn't have a pot large enough to cook the spaghetti so it was overhanging the pot like that. I just left it rather than slowly working it down into the water like I usually would.

The pot was also possibly too small for the burner (gas) so the heat was coming up the side of the pan. It didn't actually set on fire but it did burn and smoke and probably would have if I hadn't stopped it.

In any case it was deeply embarrassing.

As promised, meatball sub is going in, also took the breading i cut out and hit them with butter+garlic powder.
The bread was way stale so be ready for failure
