If you get a few drinks in me my accent comes out and I sound like an extra from The Sopranos. Our Italian is a dialect that doesn't even exist in Italy which I think is probably true of a lot of our recipes too. From my experience, actual Italians consider us worse than the rest of the burgers.

I really like chicken parm, but most joints around me suck at making it. There was ONE place that did it really well with nice portions, but they closed down during Covid. You would think a breaded chicken cutlet with cheese and sauce would be easy to nail but I guess not
