No, I considered it, but there was a pile of shit stacked on top and I didn't feel like it. I didn't do anything different from last time because I was too lazy.

So you didn't try fluffing the flour, and you didn't try shaping the dough after rising

I expected the same thing to happen again. It cooks the bread while I'm asleep so I can't do all that.

Imagine using a bread machine when you have hands and an oven. You are not a stay at home mom in the 90s. Loaf pans are your friend anon, and you can bake more than one at a time to freeze.

It's still a perfect soft texture with a consistent fluffy crumb throughout, with 100% consistency. The high side is funny looking but it doesn't affect the flavor. Bread kneaded by hand and baked in an oven is rare to get perfect. The amount of time you knead and proof and rise, how you shape it, and the temperature in your house are basically random variables that fuck with the outcome. Besides that it's a ton of work and makes a huge mess.

Professional baker here, this is correct. The shape of the bread or how much you knead it doesn't affect the taste or texture. The only important variables are flour quality and how fresh a loaf is.
If you want you can just throw together flour, water, salt, and yeast, and throw it right in the oven, no other steps needed, and you'll get yummy bread.
It will be a bit thick and salty, but still, yummy and fresh bread.
