I’ve always heard about Julia Child. I have one of her cookbooks. BUT! I had never seen her shows. PlutoTV (free videos- btw NOT AN AD) has an entire channel dedicated to her.

I really don’t know how to describe this woman. One moment she’s bare hand abusing a raw chicken (and then proceeding to touch every surface around her [even her glasses]) or cleaning up her table (and tossing it onto the floor). Then the next she’s telling history about a dish and awkwardly stumbling before producing a PERFECT dish.

She is ADORABLE. No ego. A sense of self awareness as she lumbers about. But also dignity.

I watched every episode of her original series on tubi and along with recipes and cooking tips I noted a few brilliant lines:
