Sure, I suppose that you only want food, so you would never have to go to the unkept parts of the city. But if you are going to come here then you might as well go to Ensenada, or at least Rosarito.

We work with Americans and Korean at my job, we usually take them to a new restaurant when they come and so far they say that they have had a great time. Although, I am sure a good part of why is because we are just such great hosts.

Baja had a wave of gastronomic development, a lot of what you see comes from named chefs adapting traditional recipes into something more heute, Sinaloan food is almost entirely organic in how it evolved, so it is more "folk", but last time I visited they were paying a lot of attention in their looks.
