Go to an expensive restaurant and they always burn the fuck out of them if you order fried eggs, can only get poached these days when I'm eating out.

Extraordinarily based, but can I visit everyday for breakfast or lunch and always eat alone and be aloof and mysterious and after I'm done can I smoke a cigar- a Charter Oak Nicaraguan leaf cigar- in the autumn wind just outside the door leaning against my 90's Nissan 300ZX with the popup headlights while staring off into the woods beyond your diner; and can an older lady be my regular waitress who knows me by name and always says
>the usual today, anon?
And I often say yes, but I'll occasionally surprise her by asking for something different; and she knows that there must have been some kind of sorrow in my past but never presses me on it and always smiles and I smile back and then one day her young and shy neice, just out of highshcool, begins working there too and she notices me there everyday and asks her aunt about me and I overhear them talking and her aunt says
>he's a good man, but you'd better be careful with his heart, sweetie
And it hurts me inside because I've been hurt before, but I think that maybe just maybe her dirty blond hair and her green eyes and youthful, pretty smile can remind me of what it means to be alive and I come back the again of course I come back again and she's serving me instead of her aunt and she messes up my order by accident because she's nervous but she apologies and I accept and it's okay and I introduce myself and she introduces herself and she has such a lovely name and when she shakes my hand I can feel my heart beat again for the first time in a long time and can I take you for a drive I say can I show you the colors at the lake they're beautiful this time of year I say with the mountains in the distance say and the clouds running toward them say I say can I take you there and hold your hand and skip rocks across the water I say and can I kiss you darling Rose I say is it too soon to say I love you my love I say can I?

We'd be a membership only establishment serving up long pig. It'd be a byop type deal, though. Sorce would be a pain in the ass, but of the pig partakes in the first course then it's all too easy. no bro we were teens so we had a handle of cheap vodka.
the night started on the beach when a guy kite boarding in the dark surprised the shit out of us so we gave him a swig then it just digressed into us trying to drink with every stranger we came across until my gf decided hike up her dress and take a piss in front of everybody so i diverted to IHOP for coffee to sober her up. I knew most of the staff since my mom used to work there and knew they were all alky/drug addicts that would have no problem drinking with a bunch of drunk teenagers.

I'd call it the $5 Cafe. Absolutely nothing would cost more than $5. Ideally not even after local sales taxes are applied. It would be a basic menu

>black coffee, cream and sugar optional
>grilled cheese sandwiches for $1-$2
>cheeseburgers single patty $4.00 ($3 w/o cheese)
>basic french fried potatoes (no seed oils)
>BLT sandwich $3
>2 eggs $1.50
>Toast $0.50
>bacon $0.80 per strip

I would also have chicken tenders, country fried steak etc.

The goal would be to be a cheaper and higher quality version of waffle house that is not solely centered on breakfast. We would probably have a daily soup as well.

Inflation is hell right now, and people deserve a decent meal at an affordable price. There should be no reason a restaurant like that couldn't do numbers. If you could go out to eat and spend $5 per person and walk away moderately full that restaurant would be very popular.

Y'all'll go out of business. Even serving cheep food those profit margins will be thin. And a diner can only seat like 15 people at one time. You're gonna be making like $300 an hour and after all the bills and payroll you'll be netting like $10 a day for yourself.

Makes me think though, if I won the lottery I would open a really nice diner right across the street from the shitty asshole's diner in my hometown and I would out-quality him and charge like half price for everything. And just subsidize the business with my bank account until his children are fatherless and drinking puddle water in the gutter. THEN I would jack the prices up so high nobody in town would ever go near the place and everyone would hate me and not have a diner.

I'm gonna open another diner right next to yours and undercut and out quality (You) but in a physiological and spiritual manner as well to ensure that you end up empty inside and experience ego death which leads you to become a better person in the long run after trying out several religions and eventually settling on inner esoteric gnosticism which presents itself outwardly as catholicism to avoid looking skitzo to your family
Then, while you're on your sabatacal or pilgrimage or whatever the fuck you're going to call the 8 month period of your life you spent as a hermit in your apartment eating nothing but take out you've demanded the delivery people leave on the porch and ring the bell exactly seven times, I'll keep my prices low and food good to ensure the good people of the town have a nice and comfy place to eat that's affordable and good.
Lastly, when you finally return to your diner, you'll find that I had purchased it from under you while you were in a hallucinatigenic state and you thought you were noterizing a peace treaty between the far-gnomes and the moonmen (as if those two would EVER get along) and I have since then turned your diner into an extension of mine.

>next door to a grocery store and we get rotisserie chickens every day to make chicken noodle soup
>fresh pizza
>garden out back with herbs and veggies. whatever we can harvest gets used in soups, specialty dishes, salads, whatever
>some kind of iced fresh fruit drink available, ethnic street vendor style
>mostly breakfast food, typical diner stuff served fast and friendly with nothing that can't be prepared in the time it takes to cook the pizza, while being a hidden gem pizza place with soul, offering every cook who stays 6 months the opportunity to go to school, rehab, whatever they need

It would be a medieval style diner
>buy the empty lot next door and convert it into a field
>house chickens, a couple cows, goats, sheep, etc, all for non meat produce
>eggs and milk
>prepetual stew
>wheat and water and vegtable gruel
>make the most authentic historical medieval style food
>only meat served is meat that the hired hunters bring back themselves
>only drinks are beer and slightly dirty well water
