I only found out because I read a story in the paper because the CDC was investigating an outbreak there when I ate and got really sick. If it hadn't been for that story, I wouldn't have known I got it from there, or what specific bug it was.

Exgf was allergic to capers, went out to an Italian place and said that she couldn't have anything with capers in the sauce, she ordered an al limone and when we went to eat we saw there were chopped capers in the sauce. Came back with all the pepper still and they were adamant they made it again. We left without eating and just got Chinese food who cares.

A close second just came to me. Aladdin's Kitchen in Washington DC. My family was there for a visit and I'd suggested the place because gyros. Piles of dead flies in the corners of the restaurant, walls showed signs of decay, floor was greasy, kitchen was a visible mess, food was questionably cooked. Our favourite local Italian closed a few years back, so we were trying out other places to find something decent.

At one place the menu just listed the sauces and not the pasta, so my wife asked which pasta one particular dish used, and the waiter just shrugged and told us "Whatever you like, they're all the same". Which should have been a hint.

At another place it was literally Chef Boyardee level slop on overcooked pasta that hadn't been stirred once so it had just glued itself together. We both ate two mouthfuls before we gave up.

Just had white castle at the only one in my state. Just the stench. It permeated everything. It was weird because I've been at this location when jobsites were near and ate it in college years before at other ones.

It's a toss-up. The first was on Bali, where we found a Canadian place. It was a nice place, with nice owners, so we went back there. But I'm pretty sure the calamari gave me one of the worst cases of stomach flu I've had in my life.

Worst experience? Just some bad ones in Las Vegas, listed them in order of shittyness. Projectile vomiting in my downstairs bathroom an hour or two after eating a seafood salad at Black Angus. Got noro from the sour cream at Del Taco. Worst service was some fucking mediterranean place, same town. They sat us in the empty hookah lounge even though the restaurant had plenty of available seating. Everything was just real slow and the food was bland af. PF Changs also sucked, one dish used dehydrated mushrooms that had not been fully re-hydrated, otherwise it was just mediocre.

I just got refused a refund at a fucking as station "Mexican Grill" after they didn't have my food in over 25 minutes. There's noone to complain to because it's a small business and I'm pretty sure the mean old bitch who refused my refund is the owner.
I can only afford to go out to eat like once a month or so and there's just nowhere to go. It's to the point where the service and people in my small town are such shit that it's easier to eat out of town.
Restaurant workers are very few, very low iq, very insular. If you piss off one restaurant other ones will eventually somehow get the memo in my small town.
I'm tired of rude waitresses but it's caused me to cook better.
One time when I was little my family was eating with another friend family and their kids started yelling and the parents were getting drunk arguing and the Olive Garden turned the light on our table on and off several times. This was in the 90s when they were seen as more classy instead of lunch salad land not to slam the salad its all about the salad. Any slob can make a tomato sauce but where am I going to find all those little peppers and ingredients. The only way salad is efficient is bulk batches. Rotting vegetables makes me almost as sad as going out to eat.
Why is it so hard /ck/? Is it because I only tip 15% and don't order drinks or desert? I just want to eat and gtfo. Maybe the waitresses are mad that I don't sexually harass them.

For those unaware, that's when they put a camera up your urethra. I read people saying it's not too bad, despite the camera being pretty thick which put me at ease. Go get the test... what they don't tell you is that if you have phimosis and are very sensitive, the test is hellish. It was actually far worse than I was dreading before I read other people's accounts, it took them several attempts to get it in and they had to get another nurse help keep me still (3 people looking at my dick now)

It was just severe food poisoning, all tests came back clear (aside from blood in the piss). Restaurant genuinely was responsible for the most unpleasant thing I've ever felt in my life.
