What is a fifth like 20 shots?
I think I made it to 8 one time and felt like I wanted to die for like 3 hours straight. How someone can experience that and then decide to go back and do it again is completely beyond me.
Alcoholism must be a genetic disease or something because I have never had the "urge" to drink alcohol.

Some people get an infentive reward response when drinking alcohol,like crack. Alcohol is actually a depressant so it should create satiation. For these people that's why they get the urge to drink, they get the depressant response and the incentive excitement response, so they have to keep raising thee blood alcohol level to get that dopamine kick. They're predisposed to addiction

In the years ~21-27 when I slammed handles of vodka over the weekend and nearly died from it several times, I never once experienced this - probably because no one would strike up conversations with me in bars and I stopped asking for numbers after getting polite rejections consistently.

Since I'll never experience it myself, what is that even like?

Anon I used to be in the same boat - as soon as 5pm hit I was downing half a fifth within 30 minutes and passing out praying I stayed conscious long enough to get the pizza out the oven and turn the stove off
I remember the waking up to angry messages after drunk calling people and not having a clue what I said
I remember the constant headache and dehydration and inability to think critically
I remember waking up in the ER multiple times finding out I was screaming niggr all night
Alcohol is the devil, worse than any other widely available drug. limit to just beer, don't cheat by getting the 10% alcohol beer and drinking on empty stomach, and work towards kicking the habit for good.
