19654001 No.19654001 [Reply] [Original]

This is the general for all alcoholic beverages, either ones you are interested in or which you are completely disinterested in (to any laughable degree).
Post wines, from Grenache to Shiraz to Sauvignon Blanc.
Post fortified wines, from sherry to Jerez to vermouth.
Post spirits, from Scotch to rum to vodka.
Post beers, from Trappist to stout to ales.
But do not post premixed drinks; they are for the lowly and the intolerably childish.

so if you are high IQ white male you better listen to me laddie. you drink single malt scotch, or a good old rum (better jamaican or barbados), or cognac / armagnac, or, if youre unfortunately happened to be American - you allowed to drink bourbon. wine is for women, beer is for low test man boobs omegas. vodka / gins are for desparate alcoholics. and cocktails are for literal rear drive faggots.

I picked up the bottle and I'm drinking it now. It does have that sort of peaty smokiness that I enjoy in scotch. More sweet, not as complex, but very easy to drink. It's a little weak to my tastes but I can't always afford Laphroaig 10 and this is in that ballpark and will pair well with the many westerns I watch.

Very similar story here. I had a miserable experience with gin my freshman year of college (decade ago now), and to this day I gag on the smell and cannot drink it straight. I've since had plenty of worse drinking experiences with whiskey, beer, and wine, and still enjoy all of those... gin is just nail polish.

Anyway, I am fucking pissed because I decided to try a sixer of picrel yesterday and I swear they put the wrong beer in the cans. They gave me a fucking IPA/pale ale. I'm not even sure what to do in this instance, I guess nothing

-pink lemonade (get the fancier stuff)
-juice of several limes or one green plastic lime juice container
add other things (chopped up fruit etc) as desired

drink from large container filled with ice and poured over ice, and remember to drink water because

Not beer, but a good mead/honey wine would work. Could also get away with ciders.

You could also try to vary each drink by fantasy race. Dwarves might like stouts, halflings lagers, elves wines, orcs might like schnapps or vodka, etc.

Do you live in the US? Do you live where mail order is legal? If so, you might actually be able to get whiskey cheaper through mail order than locally, even after accounting for shipping costs.
Mail order is usually like $15-20 flat rate whether it's one bottle or several, so if you buy like four bottles you're only paying $5 per bottle for shipping. If whiskey is really almost $30 more expensive than it should be where you live, then you could save money with mail order.
