Processed fish sticks are okay, but I prefer whole strips of cod.
Had some two days ago, homemade, with hashbrown patties and a pair of salads.
I dip them in mayonnaise or samurai.

There's a Portuguese grocery a short walk from me that sells bags of cleaned, frozen small mackerel - about 5"x1". I am definitely guilty of breading the little bastards, frying them up, and dipping them in a chili'd up tartar sauce.

I don't make a habit of photographing my food, especially when I'm feeding a five year old as well as myself, sorry.
Like, I just made us some noodle salad with various multicoloured toppings (chilli sauce, prawn-fried shredded carrot, sliced omelette, marinated spinach, blue-cooked cabbage, plain fried purple cabbage and sliced pork jerky) and thought it was pretty af but a nigga's gotta eat.

I was considering filleting and cooking up some frozen Norwegian mackerel we have but since we ate fried fish so recently (as well curried prawns yesterday) I thought it would have been better to use up some jerky instead.
I'm not huge on fried mackerel or any other oily fish, but mac is definitely one of my favourite fishes.

I have an air fryer, but even before that, I'd just put some oil in a pan on med/low to about 375F/190C, and rotate/flip as required. My kitchen gets dusty before it gets oily.

Don't eat them much, but Crisp with dark brown stripes, and with copious amounts of homemade tartar sauce.
That pre-made shit in squeeze bottles can't compare.
I do cheat and use Burman's or Hellmanns Mayo, a 1/5th of that amount of sweet relish, and a dash of mushroom ketchup.
...Usually with fries. Malt vinegar or smokey ketchup is de rigueur.
