I was living in PDX when the original shop opened and I don't think I ever ordered off the menu. We would always just get the voodoo dozen, which was 13 random donuts that were mostly stuff from earlier that day they needed to get rid of. They would always try to make a good selection with no more than two of the same thing, but you weren't going to get a voodoo doll or the shit with actual pieces of bacon on it. As much as I hate to admit it, I actually really liked the kool-aid ones. They were one of the first places to put cereal on doughnuts, and it was just as shitty 20 years ago as I'm sure it still is today.

I would get either maple bar and the butterfinger doughnut. Voodoo is a tourist trap but the doughnuts are better than what you can get from Safeway or Freddy's. Given the choice I'd rather get 'nuts from Coco or Sesame. There's also a shop much closer to me named Annie's that offers good 'nuts.
