You might think this wouldn't work, but it does. I saw it on one of my daytime programmes. Try it!

mayo with lots of water in it. heinz does this because it means more profit since water costs next to nothing and they can still market it as a "healthy" option to low IQ brainlets for the same price as real mayo

Also it should be cheap. No idea why anon paid £9 ($9?) for it.

Ranch and salad cream don't really taste the same. No buttermilk in salad cream. Again thing tangier/vinegary mayo that's a bit runnier than mayo but not as runny as a normal dressing.

Ranch is way more rounded and savoury than salad cream, which is mostly vinegar. They don't use the term "ranch" over here because it's not or wasn't a commonly understood dressing type so the implication doesn't make any sense to normal people. Just like you guys say math instead of maths.

I see people say stupid shit all the time like equating salad cream with Miracle Whip or equating HP Sauce with A1 steak sauce. I think they just want to spew whatever because it's obviously they've never had salad cream / HP

It's hard to get a baseline without a reference point but I agree the commonly chosen ones are poor. I think it's because people can't understand things when explained without comparison to another brand they are familiar with.

Brown sauce is hard to describe but I'd say to Americans thin vinegary bbq sauce-meets with a heavy sour undertone that tastes like worchestershire sauce/malt vinegar is an accurate enough description. It's not actually like bbq sauce really but that captures the sweet/sour taste.

>>19624416
Come to think of it I'm pretty sure there's one category of vinegar that's not a thing in the USA and that might be malt vinegar.

this makes me think you've never had ranch or even real buttermilk
p.s. i know it doesn't have dill and chives like ranch but besides the spices it really is ranch...well a least proper buttermilk ranch
